Money, Money, Money: Tanner Watkins, singer, and Kaden Salisbury, lead guitarist of alternative rock band Money, close out the first song of their set on Jan. 16 at Rubber Gloves Rehearsal Studio in Denton. Hailing from Oklahoma City, the five-person band spent four days driving across Texas to play shows. The almost week-long run was to celebrate the release of the band’s sophomore EP, “Stovepipe.”

Besties for the Resties: Tarisa Banks, 33, swings with her 2-year-old daughter, Taylor, while their dog, Minnie, enjoys the sun near Sage Hall at UNT on March 3. Although she isn’t a student, Banks likes to take Taylor and Minnie on walks around campus when the weather is nice.
Lucky Lucy: Lucy Santana celebrates her eighth birthday by getting her face painted at Grandscape in The Colony on March 17. Given that she was born on St. Patrick’s Day, her parents chose her name because it sounds similar to the word “lucky.”
In the Stu: Junior Cameron Carter, a commercial music major, does homework in The Soundbox in Willis Library on March 31. Located on the fourth floor, The Soundbox provides students with free access to professional recording equipment, a vocal booth, and physical music media.
Get Your Picture: Denton artist Isidro Nuñez draws a caricature on the Square in Denton on April 8. Nuñez, who learned the technique as a kid through YouTube, offers his services for free to anyone who has 20 minutes to spare.
Follow the Red Brick Wall: Calvin Jeremy walks past The Garage on Fry Street in Denton on April 14. Fry Street is famously known for being the hotspot for UNT students to enjoy a night out without having to travel too far from campus.
